In september 2010, I joined the High Institute of Computer science and Management in Kairouan at the University of Kairouan as assistant professor. In september 2009, I joined the Institute for the Promotion of disabled at the University of LaManouba as assistant professor. In 2006, I joined the training team of the Virtual University of Tunis where I focused more towards the training of teachers and educators, and future trainers on many fields related to educational technologies and online courses (Start with ICT, Design, development and utilization of an online course, using Moodle platform for the creation of an on-line course, tutoring students using the Moodle platform, teaching C2i using ICT, etc). I also participated in the creation and dissemination of online courses, certificates and diplomas, either in the initial training or continuous training, such as the certificate of computer science and Internet C2i. I was an online tutor in several C2i training sessions. I also made several training sessions for teachers concerned by this certificate in different Tunisian universities . These trainings focus basically on the C2i repository (educational content) and the use of a set of corresponding C2i platforms (training, positioning and certification). In 2005, I was named as a header of computer science and new technologies department at the Virtual University of Tunis. In Feburay 2005, I defended my DEA thesis (equivalent to Master degree) where I prepared in the LIP2 laboratory (FST, University of ElManar) under the direction of Pr. Mohamed Moalla and Dr. Abdellaziz Abdellatif. I was concerned by the study of information systems, my research topic was aimed at studying and realizing a specific query system to assist the open information systems users. In September 2005, I joined The Research Unit of Information and Communication technologies situated in the Higher School of Sciences and Technologies of Tunis(ESSTT) at the University of Tunis, where I prepared my PhD thesis (enrolled in the University of Sfax) under the direction of Pr. Mohamed JEMNI . The activities of this lab are focusing basically on two topics: tools and environments for e-learning and high performance, and grid computing. In August 2002, I joined the Virtual University of Tunis (which was just created in January 2002) as a senior engineer. The main mission was to ensure a successful start-up of the different departments of the university. So, I participated in the preparation of the technological aspects (e-learning platforms, equipments, networks, system architecture, security, multimedia, etc.) and the pedagogical aspects (educational resources, trainings, training of trainers, etc). All these activities were organized in various projects which I have assured in part the dircetion. In September 2001, I was recruited by the Faculty of science, mathematics, physics and natural of Tunis at the University of Tunis-El Manar as a part-time teacher in the department of computer science. I assured C programming language course and algorithmic course. In 2001, I obtained the Diploma of National Engineer in computer science from the computer science department at the Faculty of science, mathematics, physics and natural of Tunis, belonging to the Tunis-El Manar University. My current research is in the area of technology enhanced learning, focusing on the automatic personalization in e-learning systems. My PhD thesis focuses on providing online automatic recommendation of the most appropriate learning objects to active learners based on their past navigation histories, as well as exploiting similarities and dissimilarities among learner preferences, individual characteristics and educational content.
