In 2001, I obtained the Diploma of National Engineer in computer science from the computer science department at the Faculty of science, mathematics, physics and natural of Tunis, belonging to the Tunis-El Manar University. Starting from September 2001, I was recruited by the faculty as a part-time teacher in the department of computer sciences, while preparing in the same time my "DEA" diploma (now, equivalent to Master degree) in the LIP2 laboratory under the direction of Pr. Mohamed Moalla and Dr. Abdellaziz Abdellatif. I was concerned by the study of information systems, my research topic was aimed at studying and realizing a specific query system to assist the open information systems users.

In August 2002, I joined the Virtual University of Tunis team, which was just created in January 2002. Our main mission was to ensure a successful start-up of the different departments of the university. So, I participated in the preparation of the technological aspects (e-learning platforms, equipments, networks, system architecture, security, multimedia, etc.) and the pedagogical aspects (educational resources, trainings, training of trainers, etc). All these activities were organized in various projects which I have assured the dircetion. In 2005, I was named as a header of computer science and new technologies department. Since 2006, I focused more towards the training of teachers and trainers about the use of e-learning platforms, design and development of educational resources and related aspects. I also participated in the creation and dissemination of online courses, certificates and diplomas, either in the initial training or continuous training, such as the certificate of computer science and Internet C2i. I was an online tutor in several C2i training sessions. I also made several training sessions for teachers concerned by this certificate in different Tunisian universities . These trainings focus basically on the C2i repository (educational content) and the use of a set of corresponding C2i platforms (training, positioning and certification).

In 2005, I joined The Research Unit of Information and Communication technologies situated in the Higher School of Sciences and Technologies of Tunis (ESSTT) at the University of Tunis. I’m still preparing my PhD thesis within this lab under the direction of Pr. Mohamed JEMNI. The activities of our lab are focusing basically on two topics: tools and environments for e-learning and high performance, and grid computing.

In september 2009, I joined the Institute for the Promotion of disabled at the LaManouba University as assistant professor.

My current research is in the area of technology enhanced learning, focusing on the automatic personalization in e-learning systems. My PhD thesis focuses on providing online automatic recommendation of the most appropriate learning objects to active learners based on their past navigation histories, as well as exploiting similarities and dissimilarities among learner preferences, individual characteristics and educational content.
