Web Mining

Web mining (as Data mining) is one of the most important phase in the knowledge discovery process (KDD : Knowledge Discovery in Databases). When analyzed data are rather provided from Web, we speak about Web mining. Data used in Web mining are not only contained in Web pages, but also in the structure of pages and browsing history. In deed, several axes can be studied in the field of web mining, specially the following: Web content mining, Web structure mining and Web usage mining. In web content mining, we are concerned by analyzing the content of Web pages. In Web structure mining, we are interested in the links between Web pages, and finally, Web usage mining concerns the study of the history of navigation through Web pages [1].
